Welcome Subie
On December 30, 2023, the Mashpee Public Schools Team lost their beloved long-term therapy dog, Keiki, who worked alongside her owner, adjustment counselor Sean Withington, until their retirement a few years ago. In an attempt to heal everyone's broken hearts, Atlantic Subaru has given Team Mashpee, Subie, a Comfort K9 in training. We cannot wait to see Subie grow in her training and make an impact on everyone she meets just like Keiki did.
Honoring Keiki
The heartwarming journey began as Atlantic Subaru, moved by Keiki's passing, decided to give back to the community.
This Love Promise commitment came to life in "Subie", a chocolate Labrador puppy, promising to continue Keiki's legacy with love and companionship. Subie found her home with Officer Katie Hennessey, marking the start of a truly special connection.
The Love promise commitment of Atlantic Subaru shines through in the presence of Subie, embodying their dedication to healing hearts after Keiki's departure.
Comfort K9 In Training
Atlantic Subaru went above and beyond, covering Subie's training as a comfort and therapy dog. Subie, the Comfort K9, will become an integral part of Team Mashpee once she completes training with Charlie Young and Professional Canine Services, ensuring she becomes an exceptional comfort and therapy companion.
In a connected community, love prevails, and Subie's presence becomes a comforting melody that plays in the hearts of everyone today and for years to come.
As Officer Katie Hennessey expressed, "I am forever grateful for Atlantic Subaru and the entire Subaru of New England Team. Thank you for making one of my dreams as a Police Officer come true.
