Year Three - Lizzie O
For many of the children receiving coats, this is their third year participating in the program. We get to see their excitement as they select a coat, often choosing styles that match their friends whenever they can. Throughout the winter and into the following fall, we see the children wearing their coats each day, until they eventually begin to outgrow them. They eagerly ask if they will be able to receive a new coat again the next year. During the event, one child in particular was thrilled to compare her old coat to this year's coat, proudly showing how much, she had grown in just one year. These coats truly make a difference for the children we serve, allowing them to connect with their peers and spend more time outside being active.
YMCA Cape Cod Breaks Ground on a new branch in Falmouth - Shawna M
The YMCA is coming to town! More than 300 people gathered for to celebrate groundbreaking for a new YMCA branch in Falmouth: The Don & Dottie Smith YMCA. In attendance were US Representative Bill Keating, Jack Richardson from MA Senator Dylan Fernandes' office, lead donors Don Smith and Pamela Burkes-Smith, Levon Semerjian, president of Atlantic Subaru, and many volunteer community campaigners and committee members. Atlantic Subaru is a donor to the the capital campaign to build a new Y and provided shuttle service for the event. Congratulations to all who made this day happen!!!
Stepping up for our heros - Ani S
Every year, the Bourne National Cemetery in Cape Cod has flags placed on the graves of our resting veterans to honor them leading up to Veterans Day. Last month, our local State Representative posted on social media that the cemetery was at risk of going without flags on Veterans Day this year due to funding shortages and the government shutdown. This news struck deeply for Jen Cesero. Her family’s legacy of service runs generations deep: a Navy veteran husband, an active-duty Army brother, and two grandfathers laid to rest in that very cemetery. She had placed flags almost every year and knew immediately that she would step up again this year to honor our heroes. But with the calling even greater this year, she decided to think bigger. If she could place one hundred flags by herself, why not gather a small team and place one thousand? She reached out to her fellow coworkers at Atlantic Subaru and soon, an eager group of volunteers had stepped forward to take action. These colleagues were willing to give up a quiet weekend morning to instead face cold and rain in order to honor our country's veterans in a meaningful, last-minute effort. That Saturday morning, over the course of a couple hours, the team tirelessly placed one thousand American flags on the graves in Bourne National Cemetery. Jen felt immense pride in her colleagues' response. While it wasn’t a pre-planned Subaru Love Promise event, the spirit of the Love Promise was unmistakably present. Jen's selfless initiative to support her community was and is inspiring to those around her, creating a ripple effect of positive impact.
Subaru Sponsored YMCA Cape Cod Falmouth Road Race Team Raises $16,000 - Shawna M
Atlantic Subaru sponsored 14 YMCA Cape Cod runners in the iconic 7-mile seaside Falmouth Road Race on August 17th. This destination race has limited space for runners. Strong fundraising by runners helps nonprofit organizations like the Y be allocated charity fundraiser runner bibs. Thanks to Subaru's sponsorship, Y runners and their families enjoyed a beautiful post race gathering where we could celebrate personal bests in both running times and funds raised. Together, this team raised more than $16,000 for the YMCA mission to build community through programs that support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

For the past 10 years, Subaru of America and its retailers have partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets and messages of hope to cancer patients across the country. On June 17th, Atlantic Subaru personally delivered these items to Southcoast Health. These blankets and messages of hope provide warmth and comfort to patients in treatment. The love and support shared through this cherished partnership means a lot to everyone involved! Thank you for your commitment to supporting your community as well as the LLS mission to create a world without blood cancer and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
Subaru Loves to Care - John C
Recently Atlantic Subaru of Bourne, Massachusetts visited Southcoast Health Cancer Care for the second year to donate blankets to our patients as part of the Subaru Loves to Care Program in partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). These cozy blankets come in heart-shaped cases and transform into pillows, offering warmth and comfort to patients throughout their cancer treatments. Since the program began, nearly 500,000 cancer patients have been supported across the country. “This generous donation means so much to our patients and our team,” said Becky Schlosser, Director of Operations at the Southcoast Health Cancer Care. “Something as simple as a warm blanket can provide real comfort during treatment, both physically and emotionally. It’s a reminder that our community cares and stands with our patients in their fight against cancer.” In addition to the blankets, the team also brought encouraging, heartfelt messages of hope written by the dealership’s employees and customers. Thank you to Atlantic Subaru for their generous donation to our cancer center and our patients, their continued generosity truly makes a difference.
Atlantic Subaru Teams Up to Support Local Community - Nate R
Imagine going without a coat, shoes, or even socks. For millions of children and adults experiencing homelessness and other urgent need situations across the country, even here in Bourne, this is a harsh reality. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Atlantic Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Atlantic Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/24/2025, Atlantic Subaru donated 120 coats to Gleason Family YMCA. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
Falmouth YMCA Community Expo - Shawna M
Cape Cod YMCA welcomed the community to a program expo and family fun day to at the future site of a new YMCA branch in Falmouth. This free event celebrated the kick-off the public phase of the YMCA campaign to build in Falmouth. Atlantic Subaru generously provided a car display and the shuttle service between the parking and activity areas, which was greatly appreciated during the on and off rain. The free event featured kids' activities, highlighted the YMCA's Summer Eats free meal program, and offered tours of the area where the new YMCA will become a reality.

At Atlantic Subaru, the phrase “Love Promise” isn’t just part of our brand—it’s something we live every day. It’s about being there for each other, not just at work, but when life takes an unexpected turn. Earlier this year, one of our team members—faced a heartbreaking situation. While away on a much-needed family vacation, they received devastating news: a pipe had burst in his home, flooding several rooms and destroying much of what they owned. When he returned, the damage was overwhelming. His family of five had lost boxes of children’s clothing and toys, furniture, irreplaceable family keepsakes, and a cherished vinyl record collection. It was more than just material loss—it was the feeling of suddenly being unmoored, right when they were supposed to be making memories together. As soon as the team at Atlantic Subaru heard what had happened, everyone rallied. In true Subaru spirit, coworkers came together to organize a thoughtful and generous response. Within days, a collection of gift cards, donated clothing, toys, books, and other essentials were gathered to help him and his family start putting the pieces back together. We gathered gift cards for groceries and home supplies and whatever we could to help them “We were still trying to process it all. And then my team shows up like this… it just meant the world.” It was a simple, powerful reminder that at Atlantic Subaru, we don’t just work together—we look out for each other. Atlantic Subaru and the Heart Behind Nolan Fest 2025 - Laura C
At Atlantic Subaru, our Love Promise extends beyond our showroom doors—it lives in the hearts of our team, our customers, and the community we serve. This June, we had the honor of standing with a cause that is deeply personal, profoundly moving, and unmistakably filled with love: the Nolan Fest 2025, held at beautiful Silver Beach in Marion, Massachusetts. The Nolan Fest is more than a community event—it's a celebration of life, music, and the enduring spirit of Nolan Gibbons, a talented and vibrant soul whose light continues to shine through the work of the Nolan Gibbons Memorial Fund. The festival raises awareness and support for young artists and performers, championing their dreams in honor of Nolan’s own creative journey. This year, Atlantic Subaru was proud to make a donation to the Fund and be a part of something truly meaningful. Our team members Jesse and Eva represented Subaru at the event, spending the day surrounded by families, laughter, live music, and the warm breeze off Buzzards Bay. It was a day of inspiration and remembrance—where art, community, and love came together in the most beautiful way. Walking through Silver Beach that afternoon, you could feel it—the sense of purpose, of healing, and of legacy. As music echoed from the stage and children danced along the shore, it became clear that Nolan Fest is not just about loss—it's about carrying forward a young man’s passion for expression and using it to uplift others. Jesse shared, “To see so many people come together to support young artists and keep Nolan’s memory alive—this is exactly what the Subaru Love Promise means. We’re not just donating; we’re becoming part of a story that changes lives.” Eva added, “I met a few kids who’ve benefited from the Fund. They spoke about how it gave them the confidence to pursue music. That’s the real impact. That’s why we’re here.” At Atlantic Subaru, we believe that love is more than a feeling—it’s a promise. A promise to support, to uplift, and to stand beside those making a difference. We’re humbled to be a part of the Nolan Fest family and honored to help the Gibbons family in their mission to turn heartbreak into hope.
