The new year brings some changes to the Subaru lineup. Subaru's first all-electric vehicle, the 2023 Solterra, is officially available for test drives in Bourne, MA. Plus, a few models have received upgrades.
The Solterra is an exciting option for Plymouth drivers. Running solely on electric power, the Solterra SUV can generate 215 horsepower. Better yet, it comes with symmetrical all-wheel drive and has an estimated range of 228 miles.
This SUV can handle itself well, no matter what the conditions are in Cape Cod, and its driver-assist programs can work to protect you. Some of the trims at Atlantic Subaru have heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheels, wireless charging, and 12.3-inch touchscreens with navigation. With all of these features, the Solterra can feel very refined.
The rest of the Subaru lineup remains mostly the same for Barnstable shoppers. But there have been a few modifications. First, Subaru has come up with a new Ascent trim. The Onyx Edition Limited features many upscale components, including a surround-view camera. There's also a new Crosstrek trim for Falmouth customers to consider. This trim, called the Special Edition, stands out with its Desert Khaki exterior paint color.
Other stylistic details that will draw your attention include red contrast stitching on the seats, dark alloy wheels, and black exterior accents. In addition, the Onyx joins the Outback lineup. It's very similar to the Onyx Edition XT, but it has the standard engine instead of the turbocharged one.
Subaru has made some minor changes to many of its other models. The grilles and bumpers of many models have been redesigned, and many of the new Subarus in Bourne now showcase 11.6-inch touchscreens. Further, some Subarus have received safety upgrades so that they can better sense and adjust to various issues in New Bedford.
