Subaru Dealer Massachusetts is excited to introduce the new 2015 WRX, a rally-inspired sedan with a powerful punch that has been judged the best WRX yet in the Subaru line-up. It has taken the auto maker 12 years to bring the WRX back to American dealerships, but experts who have tested the 2015 model are convinced it was worth the wait.

Engine

The high-performance 2015 WRX four-door sports sedan, manufacturer priced starting at $26,295, is deemed a great option for the enthusiast who wants all-wheel-drive performance that will not break the bank. It offers a spirited ride with a 268 horsepower 2.0 liter turbocharged boxer four-cylinder engine. The interior has been upgraded so the driver can enjoy the ride, inside and out.

The horsepower is increased slightly from previous incarnations. However, the driver is most likely to notice the vastly improved handling. This is thanks to a revised, stiffer chassis and active torque vectoring that combines with the all-wheel-drive for better control. Active torque vectoring works by applying a modicum of brake pressure to the front wheel that is on the inside during a turn to reduce any under-steering.

Most drivers may decide to go with the new six-speed manual transmission. Depending on the driver, though, the available Sport Lineartronic transmission will operate like a six-speed or eight-speed automatic.

Fuel Economy

While it is a powerful offspring of the auto rallies, the 2015 WRX sports a 28 miles per gallon highway fuel efficiency average on the six-speed manual transmission -- good numbers for an all-wheel-drive. The mileage is supported by a sport-tuned suspension, and Dunlop SP Sport Maxx RT tires on 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels. So this is much more than just a high-powered economy car.

Interior

On the interior, where much attention has been paid to promote passenger comfort, the sedan sports a lot of entertainment technology, including a stereo AM/FM radio with HD, a single-disc CD player in the dash, audio streaming and hands-free calling with Bluetooth, and iPod control capability. The WRX also features sport cloth front seats and a rear vision camera for safety when backing up. Passengers in the rear get an extra two inches of leg room compared with earlier models.

Upgrading to the Premium model brings with it heated seats and mirror, a power moon roof, a windshield de-icer and a rear trunk spoiler. The Limited edition has a leather-bound eight-way power driver's seat and low-beam LED lights with available touch-screen navigation and key-less entry and start.

Unlike other sporty cars on the road, the WRX is built for extended highway driving. The seats are built to offer lateral support without making the passengers feel crunched in. The ride is quiet and noise is limited even at higher speeds. The trunk is plenty large to carry the family's luggage or other cargo.

In essence, the 2015 Subaru WRX brings comfort to economy and economy to sporty power and looks. It is the car that will let the driver live out their rally-inspired dreams, while still getting the kids to school -- well in time for the first bell.
