Subaru Teams Up with Center for Pet Safety to Test Pet Harness Systems

We've been selling Subaru vehicles for years and know that many of our customers are pet owners. These furry friends aren't just pets, but members of our family and constant companions. Subaru has always tailored itself to meet the needs of its customers, and are now exploring more ways to ensure our four-legged friends are also safe in a Subaru

Teaming up with the Center for Pet Safety, Subaru investigated a number of pet harness brands in a 30 mph crash test, and was surprised to find that many of them are ineffective at protected the pet from harm. One system, the Clickit three-point safety harness, did in fact protect the dummy pet from being launched from the seat.

In an effort to ensure our customers' pets are just as safe as their owners when driving a Subaru, this system will be rolled out as an optional feature on many of Subaru's lines.

Not only will these systems help protect pets who ride in Subaru vehicles, but also their owners. Securing everybody in the Subaru maximizes the safety of everyone in the car, and as you know Subaru is a leader is consumer safety.

We're always looking out for new ways to serve our customers, and know that your pets are important members of the family. Subaru's commitment to getting everyone safely to their destination is just one more thing that Subaru does differently.

Check out our end of the year sales going on now. We're also excited for the last part of the year, as we'll be rolling out more 2014 models.

Keep an eye out for the 2014 XV Crosstek hybrid, which we're planning to begin selling at the end of this year. Standard pricing for this hybrid is around $26,820.
