Subaru continues to reign as one of the most innovative and desirable car manufacturers, as record sales numbers for March 2013 prove more people agree that Subaru is the best car company in the country. The company reported 36,701 vehicles sales in March, cementing the best sales month in Subaru history and a 13 percent increase over March 2012. Not only is March the best month to date, this quarter represents the best first quarter in company history, with 92,527 sales - a 15 percent increase over last year.

The increase represents a marked bounce-back in consumer behavior since the recession, but more importantly, these numbers reflect a deep line-up of high-performance cars with unparalleled safety and performance ratings.

Subaru maintained sales numbers for one of its most characteristic models, the Outback, while numbers soared for the Impreza WRX, with a 59% year-to-date increase from 2,829 to 4,519. New additions to their lineup also boosted sales, including the totally re-inspired Forester five-seat SUV, as well as the sleek BRZ sports car and the XV Crosstrek. Year-to-date sales for the Forester increased 25.3 percent and the BRZ is on pace to sell over 5,000 vehicles during its rookie year.

The XV Crosstrek, released this year, proves to be one of the most valuable additions, with over 10,000 sales in the first quarter. No wonder - the XV Crosstrek is a beefier and sportier version of the already fun-to-drive Impreza hatchback, with a standard 4-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive.

"We are pleased to see our sales growth continue and surpass the records we set last year," said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc.  "Subaru offers customers uncompromising driving performance and green capabilities.  It is a winning combination that will continue to drive sales."

Here at Atlantic Subaru we are seeing these record sales first hand with this past February being our best February ever!
