Same Perfect Size, But Way More Room...



The current Impreza is the perfect size. It's easy to park and fits in tight spaces, yet it's big enough to carry a full load of your companions and gear. We didn't want to lose any of this, so we found a way to stretch the interior and make it even roomier, while keeping the overall vehicle length and width the same. Now, the trunk on the all-new sedan can carry four golf bags, compared to the previous model's three, and the size of the cargo area in the five-door also increased. Rear seat passengers weren't forgotten either, they gain two inches of legroom. Along with the added space, the 2012 Impreza also delivers a major step-up in refinement, with richer looking appointments and details everywhere. The dashboard, door trim, and center console armrest are now all made of soft-touch materials.

Smart Braking Systems

Impreza's Antilock Braking System (ABS) prevents wheel lock-up and helps maintain driver control. Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) balances braking, while Brake Assist can sense a panic-stop situation and apply full braking force to help stop faster.

Reinforced Frame

Subaru's ring-shaped reinforcement frame is designed to shield and protect in a collision. Made of high-tensile strength steel, it directs impact energy around the passenger compartment, rather than through it.

The Airbag System (SRS)

Every Impreza features a total of seven airbags including front, front-seat side torso/pelvis, side curtain and driver's knee airbags. The advanced system uses an array of sensors to help deploy the airbags in the most effective way possible.

Front Row Protection

The front-seat head restraints shift forward during a rear-end collision, cradling the head to help prevent whiplash. The energy-absorbing collapsible steering column accordions in a crash, minimizing the force of impact and reducing injury to the driver.
